Tenneco Provides Monroe Smart Suspension Technology for Li Auto Electric SUV

Shock, sick., September 29, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Tenneco (NYSE: TEN) today announced that it will provide electronic suspension technology for Li Auto’s upcoming L9 electric luxury SUV. Tenneco’s Advanced Suspension Technology (AST) business will manufacture Monroe® Intelligent Suspension CVSAe™ electronic shock absorbers for the new luxury models. L9 is from Beijing Chinais a smart electric vehicle manufacturer and the third model from a Chinese OEM to feature CVSAe technology.

CVSAe electronic damping technology continuously adapts to changing road conditions based on data provided by multiple onboard ride control sensors. An Electronic Control Unit (ECU) processes sensor inputs and independently adjusts the electronic valves in each of the system’s four dampers for optimum handling and comfort characteristics. Drivers can choose their preferred driving mode, from Comfort to Sport. Already used in more than 75 vehicle models by the world’s leading automakers, the technology requires very little power and is ideal for battery-electric and hybrid vehicles.
