On October 14, Poppy will release a new EP titled staggerIt was recently announced that she previewed it with the song “FYB” which stands for “Fuck You Back.” Musically, it’s a blast of frenetic punk energy, very different from the first two albums:
stagger This will be Poppy’s first release under a new deal with Lava/Republic Records – and by the way, she’s got a lot going on outside of music.

Poppy does not take into account conventions, genres, labels, assumptions or expectations. Instead, she eclipsed all of this in the flames of a fierce, uncompromising creative spirit with no rival. By burning everything down and building her vision out of the ashes, she represents a future where high art and high fashion are equivalent to subverting the highest order. After a quiet run-in, she reached a critical mass that I disagree with.In addition to counting more than 100 million streams, it also ended 2020 on Upset’s year-end list [#1], Revolver, Popbuzz, Kerrang! and more as she graces the covers of NME, Revolver, Upset, Kerrang! and Tush. The standout “BLOODMONEY” even earned a Grammy® nomination for “Best Metal Performance,” elevating her to “the first female solo artist ever nominated in the category.” Meanwhile, she energized the stage at the Grammys® Awards. Throughout 2021, Poppy has only maintained her momentum with the EAT (NXT Soundtrack) EP, Flux and So Mean EP. She is in complete control of the vision – from aesthetics to directing multiple videos herself. Infiltrating the mainstream, she collaborated with Victor and Rolfe on L’Oreal’s Flowerbomb fragrance and with KOI Footwear on two signature shoes. She has cast a shadow on many forms of media, and has also written two graphic novels, Genesis One and Poppy’s Hell, and her short film, “I Am Poppy,” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2019.
